I am happy to be back here in Tanzania with volunteer Joe to visit schools, personally meet the new ABCDreams children, check on projects and meet with our friends in ABCD Tanzania and Care ABCD Tanzania.
Volunteer Joe will be doing what he loves best…teaching English or Math to little children in primary school using his musicianship on guitar and ukulele! His teaching should start tomorrow and I hope to get some great photos and videos of him at work! Stay tuned.
Our first couple of days in Moshi were hot hot hot. We got a taste of local flavour in that hustling, bustling town. So grateful to friends Stella and ABCD Director John for putting us up while we were in Moshi. Such good friends.
Arriving at our hotel, the Sekao Kilimanjaro Lodge, we were warmly welcomed with many “karibu” (welcome) greetings. Still adjusting to the jet lag we went on a hike to Makomu area meeting friendly folks along the way, and a friendly tortoise.
Happy to know you arrived safely in Marangu West. Looking forward to hearing about your classroom time with the students.
