First day on the job at Makomu PS and the team was off to a blazing start. Homemade ladders were erected, buckets of paint opened, rollers and brushes were ready. Classrooms needing paint were prepared by moving the children to a different room…which only added to the excitement!
Drop sheets were put in place and primer coats applied by Paul, Margo, Matt, Megan, Christine and Mike. The children often fetched water for the team for clean-up and took peaks inside. Have a look at the before and after photos of the walls to see the difference…and that’s only with the primer coat. The ½ hour walk up the hill to the school through lush forest makes the job even more enriching.
