Rose is attending Mlang’a Secondary School. She enjoys the science subjects and wants to become a doctor. Her father has passed away and her mother Theresia lives away from home working on a farm. At home there is a sick bibi (grandma) named Rosalia and a babu (grandpa) who tends the animals. Also at home are older brothers who work in the trades and a twin sister who also attends Mlang’a SS. The family is struggling to pay school costs for the twins.
