Irene is attending Makomu Secondary School and was recommended for ABCDreams assistance by her school and ABCD Tanzania. She earned a B average in her primary school.
She lives with her mama who keeps up a small plot farm with cow, goat and chickens. Father has died. There are two other siblings in school and the mother struggles with school expenses. Irene dreams of becoming a doctor one day and loves the science subjects.
