Focus Profiles introduce you to individual children in the ABCD program who need help with school costs.
Evance is in secondary school and wants to succeed. Please consider supporting his education through secondary school (at a cost of only about $15 per month).
Evance lives with his family in Mbahe village, one of the eight villages that ABCDreams works in. His siblings are Lucy, Theresia, Juvenile, Gertrude, and Irene. His Mother Gudilla suffers from chest and eye disease and her illness is worsened in the cold, rainy season.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to ABCDreams for supporting Evance’s school fees so that they can focus on the other children… sometimes his older brother Juvenile gets some masonry work.
Evance’s family has one cow, 2 goats and a few chickens. Their house is in poor condition and does not have electricity, so Evance goes to his neighbour’s house (which has electricity) after school to study and do schoolwork.
When at home, Evance likes to help his family feed the animals and build sheds for their livestock. Evance likes mathematics and geography and dreams of becoming a researcher and architect one day.
