An amazing group of village women, who have named themselves ‘Care ABCD Tanzania’, voluntarily gather together all year long to sew menstrual care kits for secondary school girls in the two schools that ABCDreams is supporting in Tanzania.
They follow the designs and guidelines of an international charity called Days For Girls to produce these kits.
This very impactful ABCDreams initiative is so important in ensuring that girls miss fewer school days, and remain healthy by using safe and sanitary products. ABCDreams purchases the kits every year for all of the girls who enter the 2 secondary schools.
As part of their wonderful work, the mamas deliver to the schools the hundreds of kits and give them to the girls! Then, Mama Eva, the leader of the group and a retired nurse herself, teaches the girls the proper use and care of their kits.
