It is with sadness I announce that Megan Mitchell is leaving the board of ABCDreams… the demands of life and work are tough on volunteers, especially those with a heart as big as Megan’s. I know her decision to resign was as hard on her as it was for the rest of us on the board.
Megan served on the board for 4 years and has been to Tanzania both as a volunteer and as a board member. We have valued her presence so much; her astute decision making, her organized way of getting things done and her willingness to pitch in wherever she was needed. She truly realized the positive impact our work is having on the children and communities of Marangu West and shared our motivation to keep the good work going.
We wish her well, she will keep in touch, and who knows…we may see her again pitching in for ABCDreams in the future.
Here are photos of Megan from her early days as a volunteer in Tanzania and with the young girl, Adeline, that Megan sponsored for many years until she competed school and was working in a successful career!

Here, here! Megan has been one of the four pillars of ABCDreams Canada that will be hard to replace.
Megan, I hope you will do equally well in your no doubt very vibrant future. And that you leave ABCDreams Canada with happy memories.
With love and respect,
John
