During our 2024 visit to the villages, we were asked by the school leaders for help to fund the purchase of drum sets for the schools.
Drumming during celebrations, parades and gatherings are a huge part of the culture, including in schools. So the purchase of these drums sets are seen as a great motivator for students to attend and enjoy school.
There are several sizes of huge drums and cymbals in the sets and they are locally made.
We are very happy to support this contribution to the school environment through music and look forward to posting videos of the drums in action!
