It is with a lot of sadness and excitement mixed together that I announce changes to the Board of Directors.
Terry Maynard is resigning from the Board to pursue other interests which involve a lot of canoeing, camping and sailing, as well as building a small business in what he does best: helping others to well-being through connection with nature. We will miss him a lot. Terry has contributed so much to ABCDreams over the years both here on the Board and in Tanzania on two volunteer trips. But Terry’s shoulder will always be around for us to tap on if we need him.
Coming on to the Board of Directors is Megan Mitchell! Welcome to Megan. I inserted the group photo above because it shows Terry (behind Sebastian) as well as Megan (pink skirt) when they were on the same volunteer trip. Megan is a steadfast ABCDreams supporter of many years and she is very committed to the work that we are doing in Tanzania. Megan has a skill set in counselling, teaching and business that will be a wonderful asset to our Board. You will see Megan’s full bio on the ‘Who We Are’ page of the website.
Sad news indeed. Terry should do wellin retirement. Welcome to Megan as well. I’m sure we will be in good hands with her experience.
