As the world goes through this terrible time, we here at ABCD Canada think often about the ABCD families and students in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania as well as all Tanzanian citizens.
We know that schools and colleges have been closed by the government for at least the next 30 days, and so the ABCD students are at home with their families.
We hope and pray that the COVID 19 virus, which so far has infected 19 people with 1 death in Tanzania, does not take hold in this country where the health system is already severely disadvantaged and underfunded.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Tanzania.
