It was a wonderful night! Recently in Mount Albert, more than 100 guests and volunteers came together for a gala event to raise funds to help the children of Kilimanjaro pursue their dreams of an education to lead them to a brighter future.
The music of the 10-piece Blackboard Blues Band brought non-stop high energy for dancing and at the end of the night the dance floor was still full! The buffet was magnificently presented and over flowing with delicious dishes. The silent auction captivated people so much so that all items were sold, from African carvings and batiks to a guided canoe trip and tickets to a premiere choir performance in Toronto. A huge drum circle during the evening with 30+ drums gave everybody a unique experience in mass drumming. Finally, the table tops became art surfaces on which all guests were invited to express their creativity in drawing.
It truly was a one-of-a-kind night full of art, dance, music, friendship and unity in a common purpose…giving to those in need.
Our thanks go out to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make this a special night.
