Recently we held a benefit dance to raise funds for the schools, villages and children of Marangu West, Kilimanjaro. This event was similar to the event we held two years ago at the Aurora Cultural Centre and once again it was a resounding success! Our guests had a great time dancing to the music of the Blackboard Blues Band, joining in to the huge djembe drum circle led by our old friend Joe Crone (and Frank’s grandson Sebastian), sampling the wonderful hors d’oeuvres organized by ABCD volunteer Sherene Parsi, and bidding on the rich selection of art and African crafts in our silent auction. We take this opportunity to thank everybody who attended and made it such a successful event!
