Lynn & Lidia
In preparation for a trip to El Salvador, on behalf of Canadian Rotary Collaboration for International Development, I included some ABCD art supplies in my luggage in the hopes that they would get into the hands of some young children. When I met Lidia Arguita, an English major and translator who was assigned to my team, and learned that she volunteers in a small kindergarten class in her rural community I saw a golden opportunity! Lidia was very happy to take the pencil crayons and sketchbooks to her kindergarten students. Lidia has also offered to keep in touch with ABCD concerning future needs of her school. Perhaps when Lidia finishes her university studies there will be an ABCD program in El Salvador?
