It was a chilly night in Toronto on Friday but inside 612 Markham Street things heated up very quickly!
With the amazing dance rhythms of the Cassava Latin Band, the fantastic energy of our great volunteers, the warm ambiance of Beit Zatoun Centre and the wonderful postivity of our 60 guests, it was an absolutely successful night of dancing, music, art, laughter, food, and fun. Among the guests were new friends for ABCD and reconnection with friends from the past.
The silent auction of African carvings drew a lot of avid interest. The raffle of the generously donated gift from Beit Zatoun was exciting. Bar proceeds added to the overall success. Sales of cd’s and poster plaks were good, and donations for the children were received with gratitude throughout the evening.
Much gratitude has to go out to all who were involved in this, our second annual benefit for ABCD and our first in Toronto.
