Maria became an orphan when her parents died in 2006.
She lives with her aunt Hyasinta, who has 3 children of her own.
Maria is 18 years old and has now been accepted at Tengeru Community Development College. She is studying to become a VEO-Village Education Officer. Maria loves to play netball. She suffers from recurring malaria.
Her art is colourful and playful.
