I was invited recently back to Castlebridge Public School in Mississauga this year and I enjoy it every time I visit. Castlebridge is now supporting three ABCD children: Amedeusi, Fabiola and Yasinta! During this visit I was joined by Judy Bernard who was on the volunteer team that travelled in January 2012 to Tanzania to work with ABCD. Judy is a retired teacher who taught at Castlebridge and loves this school.
It was plain to see that the students love her and loudly welcomed her back. The theme for this months assembly was CARING and Judy spoke about her experiences in Kilimanjaro and about meeting the ABCD children. She also showed some pictures of the animals she saw while on safari…the children were captivated. I gratefully accepted donations from classes of children who had collected funds through a Penny Drive and a Freezy Sale! Castlebridge is definitely a caring school full of caring people.
